Mumbai, Jan 9: Lioness Club of Bombay West Coast celebrated Eighth Charter Nite at the Parathas & More Banquet Hall on Friday January 8.
District 323-A2 Governor Rajender Tanwani was the guest speaker for the event. Second vice-district governor Hasmukh Jobanputra, district Lioness president Racha Bothra and past district governor from Chicago Dr Austin Prabhu were the guests of honour of the programme.
Visiting guest past district governor Dr Austin Prabhu asked members of lioness clubs to be more charitable to needy people in their communities. He said every human being have right to give back to their communities as they live and prosper in their communities. Lion means life in our neighborhood, he explained.
Prabhu said that we should become unselfish and share our wealth with needy people. Our religion should be love, peace, friendship and joy. In caring and sharing we should get satisfaction and show our concern to people in need, he added.
Prabhu also presented Leadership Medals to governor Rajender and president Jyoti Mehta for their dedication and hardwork. All the officers were given a diamond pin including four new members just inducted by second vice district governor Hasmukh.
In her presidential address Lioness Jyoti Mehta gave detailed information on Lioness activities in their communities and successful projects conducted for the needy people around. During the event three wheel chairs were given away to three handicapped children by Lioness Club. The Lioness Club has been registered under Charitable Trust of Maharashtra.
Lioness Club of Bombay West Coast is very active in their communities and holds several camps for the needy people.
District governor Rajender praised all the lionesses for their hardwork and told them that they are better than lions in their communities. Women are more capable of doing things right and organize good programnes, he said.
