Bantwal, Jan 5: The mortal remains of Akshay Kumar (14),son of Ashok Kumar, an advocate residing at Mahakalipadpu in Barimar village and a ninth standard student of Balavikasa English Medium School, Mani village, was found lying under suspicious circumstances at Chennai central railway station. The boy had gone missing four days ago.
The family members were worried, after the boy did not return home after school on January 1. On detailed inquiry, they could make out that he had gone to Mangalore railway station. There is no inkling as to why the boy went there or who was with him on his trip to Chennai.
The family members had filed a police complaint at the rural police station here on January 2, after failing to find the boy. The policemen registered a missing case immediately. On the basis of the location of the mobile phone the boy had, the policemen made out that he was in Chennai. The parents of the boy rushed to Chennai on the basis of this information. By then, the local policemen there had given information about finding the body of the boy by the side of railway tracks in Chennai. The policemen there had identified the body on the basis of the school identity card found in the boy’s pocket.
