Pejavar Senior Seer Graces Annual Day Celebration of Sri Krishna Vittal Pratishtan

Mumbai, Dec 28: The annual day celebration of metro-based Sri Krishna Vittal Pratistan was held at Adamar Mutt located at Irla, Andheri (west), here on Sunday December 27.
Various religious celebrations including Shaneshwar puja and Astottara Sahasra Modaka Mahaganapati Yaga were held under the leadership of Pratishtan founder Vidwan Kairabettu Vishwanath Bhat. The religious programme was presided over by Vidwan Kairabettu Vishwanath Bhat.
Sri Vishweshateerta Swami of Pejavar Mutt, Udupi delivered a religious discourse on the occasion. Pernankila Haridas Bhat Vidya Vihar, Vile Parle Congress MLA Krishna Hegde, Andheri MLA Ashok Jadhav, Bellary Bunts Sangh president Suresh Shetty, Jayalaxmi Credit Society deputy chairman Rangappa C Gowda and Nair Estate Private Limited managing director R S Nair were present.
Swamiji also honoured renowned Vidwan Konandoor Gopalakrishna Acharya (religious service), Bunts justice committee chairman M D Shetty (social service), Dr Bhaskar Shetty Bayandar (medical service), Meenakshi Sriyan (music and dance) and Shimunje Parari (literature) on the same occasion.
The talented artistes Veena B Sarapady (Yakshagana), Priyanjali Rao (Bharatanatyam) and Veena M Bannur (education) were also felicitated by the guests of honour.
Ramdas and friends staged a saxophone concert. Bhajan programme was held by Maddesh Bhajan Mandal and metro-based Kala Souraba also staged devotional singing under the direction of musician Padmanabha Sasihitlu.
Variety cultural entertainment programmes such as dance, music and Bharatanatyam was also held. Chinnara Bimba children’s Yakshagana troupe staged Yakshagana play as part of cultural programmes.
Pratishtan chief secretary Harish S Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Trustees Laxminarayan Mucchintaya and Ashok Pakkala compered the programme.
