Dubai, Apr 28: An Indian doctor in UAE was said to have experienced the biggest day of her life.
Ayesha Sultana, in her tweet shared her experience as an expatriate, was returning home after late night shift at around 1 am when the Dubai police stopped her.

The Dubai police carry out sterilization programme from 10 pm to 6 am. Movement around this time is restricted.

Sultana in her tweet said "I told him I'm a doctor returning from duty, had all my papers to present them. But he refused to check anything and gave me a salute."

She said in her tweet that it was the biggest day of her life and added, "THANK YOU".

She further said that she was speechless and had tears in her eyes and overwhelmed at the gesture of the Dubai police.

She added in her tweet saying "I'm blessed to be in the UAE and serve the people here."

Health care workers in the UAE are highly respected and hailed as the first line defense against coronavirus.

His highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai had launched an online campaign to thank the health workers in the month of March.
In his tweet, the ruler had invited everyone to thank the doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital administrators.

During the sterilization hours the people express their gratitude to the health workers by clapping, cheering and singing the national anthem from their balconies.

An initiative launched earlier this month, 'Together We Chant For UAE' is in appreciation of the frontline health workers as well as the leadership in UAE which invites every residents to sing the UAE national anthem on Wednesday and Friday at 9 pm.
