Have sought report on rave parties amid lockdown: Goa CM

Panaji, Apr 27 (IANS): The Goa Police has been asked to submit a report on rave parties allegedly organised in a North Goa beach belt amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Monday.

"I have asked for the report," Sawant told reporters here, when asked about the rave music events which foreign tourists also attended.

The Morjim-Arambol beach belt in North Goa, which is popular with foreigners, especially Russians, has been home to several rave parties, conducted on the sly, amid the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown.

Sawant said that more than 6,000 foreign stuck in the state had since been flown back home in 32 special flights.
