Mumbai, Apr 27: Harish Shetty Ermal, an entrepreneur and social worker in the city visits his hometown, Udupi Tenka Ermal, every year in the peak summer of April – May to sow seeds in his farm.
This year, however, ignoring the yearly routine he is engrossed in feeding the needy. Despite his busy schedule, he receives mobile messages and gets four thousand to five thousand food packets prepared under his supervision to send to various departments to feed the needy.
Harish Ermal is vice-president of Bantara Sangha Mumbai education committee. He was the vice-president of the Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association in the past and is popular under the name Ermal Harish. He is the president of Christi Hotels Private Limited and the proprietor of Mantra Residency, Mud Island. His social work is commendable to thousands of people.
