Kundapur: Son’s Farewell Trip Abroad Turns Out 60-year-old’s Final Life Journey

Kundapur, Dec 26: In an unfortunate incident, a 60-year-old person died when the car he was traveling in met with an accident with a tractor on the Trasi-Maravante National Highway on the away back from Mangalore airport after dropping his son on Friday December 25.

The person deceased has been identified as Ummar Saheb of Koya Nagar, Navunda here. He was returning in an Indica car after dropping his son Hamza, who is working abroad at the Bajpe airport in Mangalore.  While Saheb died on the spot, four others, daughter-in-law Mumtaz (38), grandsons, Yasir (13), Sharief (17) and granddaughter Rupaida (9) including driver Prakash have been injured and admitted to a hospital here.   

Gangolly police have registered a case.
