Abu Dhabi: In joint effort India Social and Cultural Centre extends aid to needy

Abu Dhabi, Apr 18: The India Social and Cultural Centre, Pravasi Bharathiya Samman awardee, established in 1967 is the premier socio-cultural centre here.

Everybody's is in a critical time, dealing with the challenges of the pandemic COVID-19. The association's prayers are there with the people and families across the world who are impacted by this. Also, their prayers and appreciation are with the medical staff, security force as well as supply chain staff who are directly at risk, to support the life and livelihood of many across the world.

India Social and Cultural Centre, in association with Indian Islamic Centre, Kerala Social Centre, Abu Dhabi Malayali Samajam, Indian Ladies Association and Indian Social Center, Al Ain in close coordination with the ambassador of India, Pavan Kapoor and ISC chairman Dr Yusuff Ali M A extend their service to the needy Indians by arranging supply of food kits and other essentials, opening of emergency call centres, panel of doctors for counselling and much more.



Considering the need of the hour, the association also visited and identified suitable premises such as hotels, camps, schools for the consideration of the Indian embassy.

ISC organized its own helpdesk and a collection and distribution unit in the centre and already started the relief work with the committee members, volunteers and staff. The patron governor, Adeeb Ahamed, managing director of Lulu Financial Group and Twenty 14 Holdings and Somarajan, managing director of United Family Catering Companyhave sponsored the food kits.

They have also received medicines from Ahalia Hospital, formed a dedicated volunteering group among the ISC members in order to execute the entire process smoothly.

On behalf of the president, managing committee and members of ISC, the association thanks the rulers of United Arab Emirates for doing their excellent humanitarian service, cooperation and support for those affected by this pandemic and salute the healthcare workers and all the forces working together for their relentless fight against COVID-19.

Also, the media persons are thanked for their support to spread awareness among the people during this pandemic situation.
