910 kg of medical essentials delivered to Goa by Air India's Lifeline Udan

Panaji, Apr 10: Over 910 kg of essential medical supplies were supplied to Goa by the Air India Lifeline Udan on Thursday, said Airports Authority of India officials.

The essentials included masks, sanitisers, PPE, medicines and other medical equipment which were requested by the resident commissioner of Goa.

“The flight was due to land at 5.10 pm but was delayed. There were 105 consignments of which 570 kg was of medical equipment, PPE and medicines,” said Goa airport director Gagan Malik.

Special importance was given to expedite the clearance procedure for the cargo considering the value of the essentials carried.

The Union civil aviation ministry launched Lifeline Udan to transport essential medical cargo amid the lockdown.
