Bangalore, Dec 5: Rural Development Minister Jagadish Shettar has refused to be the District-in-charge Minister for Mysore.
The post was earlier held by Shobha Karandlaje, who was recently dropped from the Cabinet and her portfolio of Rural Development was given to Shettar after his induction into the Cabinet.
CM B.S. Yeddyurappa deciding on shuffling the In-charge Ministers of various districts, had urged Shettar to take charge of Mysore district tentatively.
Shettar, however, is said to have declined the offer and preferred to be the District in-charge Minister for Dharwad district.
He is also said to have suggested to make Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani, who presently is responsible for Dharwad district, as the Minister in-charge of Mysore district.
