Mumbai, Nov 30: The annual get together of Bharath Bank Staff Welfare Club was held at Fine Arts Shivaswamy Auditorium, Chembur here on Saturday November 28. Chief guest and bank former president and director Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the programme.
Jaya C Suvarna said that Billavas’ association has founded Bharath Bank for empowering the community, economically, educationally, socially, religious and culturally. The staff can contribute for the growth of the bank by their dedicated and honest service following the principles of Brahmashree Narayan Guru, Suvarna added.
Bharath Co-operative Bank president Vasudev R Kotian presided.
Speaking on the occasion, Vasudev R Kotian said that Bharath Bank is the contribution of community elders. It has achieved major progress since the past 32 years, owing to the efficiency of board of directors, besides the customers’ trust and honest service of its staff members. Bharath Bank has been ranked one among the top five co-operative banks in the country. Bank customers, society and nation benefits from bank’s steady progress, he said.
Meanwhile Vasudev called on the bank staff to achieve excellence in service to the customers through dedicated and honest service, he urged.
Bharath Bank vice-president Rohini Salian was the guest of honour,. He said that the annual friendly-meet of bank staff strengthens the working relations and energizes them to work better.
Bank chief executive officer J C Poojary said that the bank has achieved significant progress despite the global downturn. The bank has been steadily progressing with the customers’ trust and loyalty, he said.
Bank directors M B Kukyan, L V Amin, Raja V Salian, Jyothi K Salian, Chandrashekar S Poojary, N Nithyanand, Pushpalatha N Salian, Mohandas G Poojary, M B Sanil, Bhaskar M Salian, S K Kotian, Rathan Umesh Sanil, Leelavathi Jaya Suvarna and Mohini V Kotian were present.
The scholarships were presented to the talented students of bank staff.
Bharath Bank Welfare Club president C R Mulky welcomed the gathering. Secretary Nityanand Kirodian proposed the vote of thanks. Bank assistant general manager Nityanand D Kotian compered the programme.
Variety entertain programmes were held by the children of Bank staff, while Manohar Nayak and groups staged a hypnotism show at the occasion.
