Mangaluru, Mar 26: Everybody is badly affected by the disastrous coronavirus. Journalists are creating awareness in the society about it. In order to help journalists who are in their uninterrupted service, Patrikabhavana Trust in the participation of Press club and district journalists association distributed rice, wheat and mask to the journalists.
Patrikabhavana Trust president Anand Shetty who distributed rice said that journalists always remain creative and active. “They go behind tragic incidents, incidents against society and epidemics for continuity of news. Journalists who consider duty as their motto when coronavirus is spreading everywhere do not even worry about their homes. Journalists are creating awareness in the society about the harsh virus. In these circumstances, we are helping them with rice, wheat and masks,” he said.
Dakshina Kannada working journalist’s association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje said that the items are distributed to the journalists to fill them with mental strength. “The association thanks Patrikabhavana Trust and press club who thought of the gesture,” he said.
Press club president Annu said that journalists who are after coronavirus related news should take care of their health and families. “Awareness is important to bring the virus under control. Therefore, be cautious while you work,” he said.
Twenty-five kg rice, 5 kg wheat flour and masks were distributed to each of 280 members of Dakshina Kannada district working journalists association on Thursday.
