Mangaluru, Mar 26: Former minister U T Khader has asked the government to refrain from making confusing statements.
“While the government has taken up measures to contain the pandemic, there are statements that the supermarkets can be kept open for 24 hours. It is necessary to review the decision. Ordinary people should ask if they want meals or virus.”
“The pandemic which was found earlier in city limits has spread everywhere. Social distancing is not possible if supermarkets are kept open for 24 hours. People in villages have responded well to lock down despite difficulties. Why should daily wage workers remain at homes if supermarkets are kept open? Allow workers to work and earn. The state government should modify its decision immediately,” said former minister U T Khader in Mangaluru.
