Bangalore, Nov 27: Contradicting media reports which said that KMF was considering a proposal to hike the prices of milk being marketted by Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), Gali Somashekhar Reddy, chairman, insisted that there was no move to hike prices of milk.
“KMF does not want to add to the woes of the consumers by raising prices of milk. But, there is a proposal to upwardly revise the price of milk being exported to other states,” he clarified.
He said, under the present circumstances, KMF does not plan to increase the milk prices. Although the Federation wants to improve the lot of the dairy farmers in the state by extending facilities to them, it does not want to create problems for the milk consumers. Hence, at present, the consumers need not worry on this front, he added.
