Goa to remain under complete lockdown until March 31


Panaji, Mar 24 (IANS): Goa will remain under a complete lockdown until March 31, the state Cabinet decided on Tuesday.

Essential services have however been spared from the lockdown, sources said.

The decision comes a day after the Goa government relaxed the Janata Curfew from 7 am to 11 am to allow people to buy basic essentials like milk, bread, vegetables, fruits and other grocery items.

On March 22, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had extended the Janata Curfew by three days till midnight of March 25.
