Kasargod, Mar 19: Mandatory screening will be conducted at the district border check posts to prevent spread of coronavirus. Doctors, junior health inspector and police personnel will conduct tests. Additional screening will be conducted on those who arrive to Kerala via Mangaluru. Special facilities will be provided for the purpose. A special officer has been appointed in Mangaluru airport in this connection.

Festivals and activities in religious centers will be conducted under the observation of police personnel to make sure that many people do not take part in them.

From Mangaluru airport to Talapady in separate vehicle

Those who return from abroad to their hometown through Mangaluru airport will be brought in separate vehicles of the Karnataka state government to Talapady. A separate medical team will screen them there. Those who have systems of coronavirus will be brought to Kasargod government general hospital. Those who do not have the symptoms will be arranged transport to Kasargod by KSRTC bus. Those who want to go to hometown from Talapady by private vehicle will have to submit a declaration at Talapady counter.
