Mangaluru: Few govt services to be stopped as precaution against coronavirus

Mangaluru, Mar 19: As a precaution to stop spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), few government services are suspended up to March 31.

While the government offices will remain open and work will continue as usual, the services are suspended to avoid people from crowding at government offices.

People will not be able to avail the following services:

1) Under revenue department services such as Atal Ji Jana Snehi Centre, Spandana Centre, Aadhaar Centre, centres which provides Aadhaar services.

2) At RTO centre services such as driving licence, vehicle registration. Order is not applicable for renewal of driving licence.

3) Services at Youth Empowerment and Sports Department and also Kannada and Culture Department. Social welfare department, minorities’ welfare department, corporation board services coming under backward class welfare department.

4) Services at Agriculture, Horticulture and Fisheries department. Cooperative department (except banking).

5) Local organisation within the city limits and services provided to the people within the gram panchayat limits (account, public auction, gram sabha, providing licence, providing birth and death certificate).

People can avail services from the above departments only in case of emergency. However, public are asked to cooperate with the government and take precautions against Coronavirus.
