Chamarajanagar: Bank employee in need of rest fakes coronavirus infection

Chamarajanagar, Mar 19: A native of Bihar state employed in a bank in the district reportedly got himself admitted into Kabbahalli Sahukar KC Subbanna government hospital at Gundlupet in the district on Tuesday, March 17. He told the hospital staff that he was suffering from coronavirus infection.

The doctor admitted him into the isolated ward meant for coronavirus infection suspects. He examined the man and found that he did not display any symptoms of the infection. On Wednesday morning, he conducted another check, but could not find any symptoms of the disease. The doctor then called the bank where the man worked and was told by the staff that the man has the habit of getting admitted to hospitals whenever he felt the need for a holiday.

The man was discharged on Wednesday itself after some sound advice.
