Mangaluru, Mar 18: On Tuesday, March 17 evening and night, places like Naravi, Hosmar and surrounding areas of Beltangady taluk received good rainfall. The other places in Dakshina Kannada district had sunny weather.

The meteorological department said that the maximum temperature of 35.2 degree Celsius has been recorded while the minimum was 25 degrees. Because of increasing heat, some parts of the district might get sporadic rainfall, it observed.

During the rains, lightning hit the residence of Ravi from Noojody on Tuesday evening. In this incident, his wife, Supreeta, was injured. Supreeta was standing near the electricity meter board when lightning struck. She suffered from some burn injuries. Her three children were taken back by the sudden development.
