Bantwal: Pedestrian hit by bus while crossing road, dies in hospital

Bantwal, Mar 16: A pedestrian woman who was hit by a bus when she was crossing the road at Panemangalore here has succumbed to injuries at hospital on Monday, March 16.

The deceased has been identified as Narikombu resident Sarojini (58). She was returning home and crossing the road after work when a KSRTC bus hit her in front of Panemangalore Mandovi Motors showroom. She suffered serious injuries to her head in the accident.

As no vehicles were available nearby to admit her in the hospital, Melkar traffic SI Rajesh K V who visited the spot put her in the department vehicle immediately and admitted her in Bantwal government hospital. However as she suffered serious head injuries, she died without responding to treatment.
