Mumbai, March 16: Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, nominated member of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra advisory committee was felicitated by Patrakartara Sangha.
In a simple programme presided over by the president of Patrakartara Sangha, Rons Bantwal at Manifold office, Ghatkoper west on Sunday morning, March 15, office bearers draped shawl for Suresh Bhandary, presented flower bouquet, memento, congratulated and felicitated him. Meanwhile another member of the advisory committee Dr R K Shetty who is elected president of Karnataka Janapada Parishat Maharashtra unit was also congratulated.
Suresh Bhandary said that Tulu language is ancient. “It is a culture and society by itself. I thank Tuluvas who were instrumental for my appointment as per the consent of Tulu Sahitya Academy president Dayanand Kattalsar and members. We long to see Tulu language in the eighth chapter of the constitution. The cooperation of Tuluvas is necessary for it,” said Suresh Bhandary.
Patrakartara Sangha honorary chief secretary Ashok S Suvarna welcomed and in his introduction said that Bhandary who is an expert in Kannada, Tulu, Hindi and Marati is the right person for the post. “Karnataka government has honored Mumbai based Kannadigas by bestowing membership to him after Dr Sunita M Shetty and Shimanthoor Chandrahas Suvarna,” he said.
Rons Bantwal congratulating Suresh Bhandary said that he has godly qualities. “He is the multilingual who has supported people of all the languages together with Tulu language speakers. Suresh Bhandary is an asset not only of the state but of the entire country,” he said.
