Mangaluru: District Yuva Janata Dal president Akshit Suvarna files death threat complaint

Mangaluru, March 12: Akshit Suvarna, president of Dakshina Kannada Yuva Janata Dal, who received death threats through Facebook, has lodged a police complaint to city police commissioner requesting to take suitable action in this connection.

“A person named Ram Prasad has threatened to kill me, president of Yuva Janata Dal in the district. I am involved in business sector, spiritual sector and indulged in social work besides serving as the president of Yuva Janata Dal in the district. Therefore, stern action should be taken against Ram Prasad,” he has stated in the police complaint.

District chief general secretary Madhusoodan Gowda, district vice president Mohammed Asif, district organizing secretary Mohammed Faizal, Mangaluru north block president Rathish Karkera, vice president Hithesh Rai and others were present.
