Kadaba, Mar 12: The health condition of a person who returned to his native place from coronavirus-affected China has been put on close observation for 14 days.

A person from the taluk who is employed in China had returned to India on March 6. At the airport, he went through all kinds of health checks and reached home on March 9.

However, as the people living in his neighbourhood expressed apprehension about his health, he visited Kadaba community health centre on Wednesday and provided exhaustive information to the medial officers about the fact that he is healthy and also about the health checks he underwent at the airport.

Medical officer of the centre, Dr Trimurti, confirming this incident, said that the man was sent home as he did not exhibit any symptoms of coronavirus infection. "We have asked him as a precautionary measure, not to move around for 14 days and follow the instructions provided by the health department. Health workers have been asked to visit his house on a daily basis and collect information about his health condition. Another person who came from Dubai is also keeping good health. No one need to feel panicky about these things. We are keeping a close watch on certain persons as per the instructions of the health department," he explained.
