Kundapur: One arrested for illegally slaughtering bull left for grazing

Kundapur, Mar 8: Gangolli police led by SI Bheemashankar arrested a person on the evening of Friday, who allegedly slaughtered the bull that was left grazing and tried to sell the meat.

The arrested person is identified as Leo D'Almeida, a resident of Kelakali. It is alleged that Leo slaughtered the bull that was grazing in Bantwadi and was trying to sell the meat.

A person by the name Nagaraja has filed a complaint in this regard in which he says, "I had left my domestically reared bull for grazing. It did not return home till evening. When I went in search for it, I saw the accused was slicing the meat of the bull."

The locals also accuse that Leo has allegedly killed cows that were left for grazing. A case in this regard is registered in Gangolli police station.
