Moodbidri: Yenepoya Institute of Technology conducts soccer league

Moodbidri, Mar 8: Yet another milestone has been added to the impressive achievement chart of Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT), Moodbidri. The college has set exemplary standards in terms of infrastructure. On March 7, the YIT inaugurated its soccer field which was then followed by Yenepoya Soccer League (YSL).

The procession by the team players led by the Rotary school band marked the beginning of the inaugural ceremony. The ceremony was presided by Yenepoya Abdulla Javed director of operations, Yenepoya Group. Biby Thomas head coach, Yenepoya University, D M Aslam president of DK District Football Association and Mohammed Hussain secretary of DK District Football Association were the guests of honour for the inaugural ceremony. They graced the occasion with their presence. The principal, administrative officer, staff and students were also present at the ceremony.



The inaugural ceremony was followed by the Yenepoya Soccer League in which eight teams competed for the championship title. Prof Austin Pais was the staff coordinator and Zafar (ISE), Akhil (ME) and Akmal (EEE) were the Student coordinators for the Yenepoya Soccer League-2020.

1. Yen Battle Hawks

2. Yen Blasters

3. Yen Dominators

4. Yen Scorchers

5. Yen Shooters

6. Yen Titans

7. Yen Vikings

8. Yen Warriors

The league was won by Yen Scorchers.
