Udupi, Mar 7: The senior citizen aged 75 who was admitted into the district government hospital here after he was suspected to have been infected with Coronavirus, has shown improvement in health condition, said district health officer, Dr Sudhir Chandra.
He said that the report on the throat swabs sent for testing would be received on March 7, and that further treatment or discharge from the hospital will be based on the contents of the report.
The patient had returned to his hometown, Muniyal, after visiting Israel on March 4. After getting information that he was suffering from cold and cough, the health team had got him admitted into the government hospital. At the same time, the heath condition of his wife, who too had undertaken the trip to Israel, is reported to be steady.
