Udupi: Retired superintendent takes away own life

Udupi, Mar 7: Ramoji Rao (65), who had served in various government departments before retiring as superintendent, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence. He was a resident of Jagannathi Nagar in Bailoor.

Ramoji Rao had worked as superintendent in the city municipality, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and taluk panchayat as superintendent before retiring. No exact reason could be attributed to his decision to end life.

A case of unnatural death has been registered in the town police station here in this respect. Social worker Nityananda Volakadu, provided free ambulance to transport the body to the mortuary of government hospital at Ajjarkad here free of cost.
