Mangaluru: Sangeet Bharati Foundation to perform ‘Sangeet Bharati Utsav 2020’ on March 7, 8

Mangaluru, Mar 6: Sangeet Bharati Foundation, here will present a two-day music festival, ‘Sangeet Bharati Utsav 2020’ on March 7 and 8 at Ravindra Kala Bhavan, University College, here.

On Saturday March 7, Manas Kumar, a renowned artiste from Mumbai will perform a Hindustani violin solo at 6.00 pm, followed by a Hindustani vocal performance by Jayateerth Mevundi, Hubbali.

Rajendra Nakod - Bengaluru and Vyasamurthy Katti - Bengaluru will perform on the tabla and harmonium respectively.

On Sunday March 8 from 10.30 am - 1.00 pm there will be a Hindustani vocal performance by Padmashri awardee, Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, Dharwad.

From 2.00 pm - 3.30 pm a Mrindangam and tabla Jugalbandi will be performed by Vidwan Patti Sathish Kumar, Chennai and Satyajit Talwalkar, Mumbai.

From 3.45 pm - 5.00 pm there will be a Hindustani vocal performance - Vidushi Saniya Patankar, Pune.

From 5.15 pm - 6.45 pm will be a sitar solo by Ustad Rafique Khan, Mangaluru.

From 7.00 pm a Carnatic Flute solo by Vidwan Shashank Subramanyam, Chennai will be presented.

Keshava Joshi, Bengaluru and Narendra L Nayak, Mangaluru will accompany on the tabla and harmonium respectively.

HDFC Bank and Karnataka Bank are the chief sponsors while the other sponsors are Ideal Ice Cream, Corporation Bank, New Mangalore Port Trust, Canara Bank, Expert Group of Institutions, LIC of India, Axis Bank, MCF, NKGSB Bank and SVC Bank.
