Bengaluru: Ravi Poojary provides information about aide’s role

Bengaluru, Mar 6: It is said that during his questioning, underworld fugitive, Ravi Poojary, has confessed that his associate, Suresh Poojary used to provide him information about industrialists, politicians and influential individuals and thus helping him to place demand for protection money from them.

Ravi Poojary, who is in the custody of the central crime branch (CCB) since the last some days, also provided information about the role of Suresh Poojary in the murder of a staff of Shabnam Jewellers. CCB police are now busy collecting evidences relating to information they have extracted from Ravi Poojary.

Suresh Poojary has gone underground now. He was informing Ravi Poojary about people who could be threatened to extract money. After some differences cropped up between the two in 2013, they had split. Suresh Poojary is now a part of the Mumbai underworld, and the police are making all out efforts to bring him to book, it is said.

The police are also trying to find out where Ravi Poojary, who has collected crores of rupees from the businessmen, has invested the money so collected. The current notion is that he would have invested in several businesses he has setup in some foreign countries.
