Belthangady: Youngster drowns in river when taking bath

Belthangady, Mar 6: A youth, identified as Suhas (21), son of Koragu Mugera from Umantimar in Shishila village in the taluk lost his life due to drowning on Thursday, March 5. He had visited River Kapila at Murathagundi in Shishila village when this unfortunate accident happened.

Suhas along with friends, Tyagaraj and Umesh, had gone to the river to extract sand in the morning. Thereafter, he went down the river to take a bath when he suddenly went missing. The locals then searched for him and recovered his lifeless body in the afternoon.

Police personnel from Dharmasthala station visited the spot and registered the complaint.
