Mangaluru, Mar 2: “It is a matter of joy for all the Tuluvas of having got an opportunity to contribute for the recognition and survival of Tulu language. On the way of including Tulu language in the eighth chapter of the constitution it should be announced as the official language of the state,” urged Beary Sahithya Academy president Rahim Uchil during his visit to the Chief minister.

“Konkani and Beary sects of south coast are speaking the Tulu language in large number. Therefore, Tulu has the weightage for declaring it as the official language of the state. Tulu Sahitya Academy is providing full support in the campaign of Tulu Sahitya Academy president Dayanand Kattalsar in this connection,” said Rahim Uchil.
