Mangaluru, Feb 22: Udupi Pejawar Math spiritual head, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji said that the central government, as per the orders of the Supreme Court, has created a board of trustees for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. He also informed that at the first ever meeting of the trust, the matter of constructing the temple systematically in tune with the blueprint created earlier was discussed.

Addressing a press meet at his city residence at Manju Prasada, Kadri here on Friday February 21, the Swamiji said that the work of carving the rocks needed for the temple construction had been completed a few years back. He said that these rocks will be used for the temple construction after examining them, as the rocks do not get deteriorated over a period of time. "We want to make this temple an eternal structure. Therefore, we want to convert the entire Ayodhya into a well-equipped place. In addition to building Ram Mandir complex over 67-acre plot, there is proposal to rebuild the entire Ayodhya in a planned manner.

The Swamiji said that Ram Mandir is planned to be turned into a mega tourist attraction and for that purpose, four-lane roads, art house reflecting ancient culture etc will come up. He revealed that discussions about when to begin Mandir construction and when it has to be completed have not taken place. He asked people to organize Ram Bhajans and discourses in order to reinforce divinity into the proposed temple structure.

"Vishwwa Hindu Parishad will begin Ramotsava from Rama Navami day, April 4, in a unique way. People should chant the name of Lord Ram 108 times everyday. A decision on this matter was also taken at the Dharma Sansad that was organized sometime back at Udupi," said Prof M B Puranik, provincial working president of Vishwa Hind Parishad.
