Kundapur, Feb 20: Police have in a raid conducted at Mepu, Koteshwar village, Kundapur police station limits at night on Wednesday night, arrested a suspect, confiscated his vehicle and took custody of cattle over its illegal transport.



The arrested person is identified as Kodi resident Mohammed Rafik(40). Local people who saw him transporting the animal waylaid the vehicle and questioned when the incident came to light. The people informed the police. Police found a male animal tied in an inhumane manner in Mahindra pick up the vehicle. A case is registered against the suspect in Kundapur police station.
