Puttur: Shiradi Concreting Works to Begin Next Month

Puttur, Oct 29: National Highway (NH) Authority has finally given a green signal for concreting Shiradi Ghat stretch by sanctioning the central grant.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday October 28, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel informed that Rs 115.58 crore was sanctioned for concreting works of the 36-km-stretch of road on Shiradi Ghat. The tender process for NH concreting works will soon begin, he said.

The concreting works are expected to begin the next month as technical sanction has been awaited with files already being disposed, he said.

    Though what Johnson has said sounds like pessimism, that is what has happend earlier. Now thanks to efforts by leaders like Nalin, our MP, amount has been sanctioned for concretisation of Shiradi ghat road.First thing is work should start and be completed before monsoon. Secondly, money should not be wasted on work without quality, as it had happened earlier. Will our Netas ensure this?

    Hope the people who are executing this job, do it with full honesty and not loot public money allocated. Hope Mr. Nalin makes sure that the job is uted as per the contract norms and there is no swindling of public funds. If uted to international standards am sure people of Mangalore will be ever grateful to the young MP

    I respect the initiative taken by Nalin Kumar in this regards. Last week when I was coming back to Bangalore from home, I saw a car with red beacon lights. I guess it must have been some Minister. That is the very first time I came to know that, ok, now we have a minister has gone through what we have been for a long long time.

    So the roads are going to be repaired soon. This one issue has been so horrible to many a people. I travel every single week from Bangalore to spend my weekend with my family. Instead of spending that quality time with my family, I go to sleep feeling sick and tired of the journey.

    If this is happening to my body, I can never imagine how the poor drivers take the beating. Nalin, is a fresh face in the troubled waters of politics & he is young. I am sure he will bring justice to the common man.

    Nalin is proving himself as pro-development and generous by involving himself in such moves.Friends,all that is needed from a politician is not his education qualification but willingness to work for public.

    Waste of 115.58 crore. All politicians, contractors will eat this money and the Ghat road will come for repair in next 2-3 months again as earlier. We wont be able to reach Mangalore on time.
