Puttur: Angered by refusal to permit bike use, man torches it

Puttur, Feb 11: In an incident which happened at Vidyapura in Kabaka village in the taluk on Monday February morning, a motor bike was torched and damaged. It was reportedly done by a man who was angry at the refusal of permission to him to use the motor bike.

Ayyappa, son of Krishnaswamy from Vidyapura in Kabaka village has filed complaint in the town police station here. He said in his complaint that a bike belonging to his maternal uncle, Vijayan S, had been parked by the side of his house. In the wee hours on Monday, he said, Ramesh, son of his paternal uncle, set the bike on fire and caused loss of Rs 25,000. He explained that two days back, Ramesh had wanted to borrow the motor bike but he had refused to permit. He claimed that out of anger originated out of this denial, the accused had committed this act.

Puttur town police have registered a case.
