Mangaluru: Senior Citizens Day celebrated at Fermai church

Mangaluru, Feb 10: Members of the ladies association of Fermai St Antony church on February 9 celebrated Senior Citizen’s Day. A holy mass was celebrated by the family welfare committee director, Fr Anil D’Souza. Parish priest Fr Louis Cutinha was the co-celebrant.

A cultural programme was held for the elderly after the mass. Fr Louis Cutinha presided and inaugurated the programme. He gave a few suggestions to the senior citizens and wished them well. Chief guest Fr Anil D'Souza and brother Vivian D’Souza spoke on context.



Sr Hensit, parish pastoral council vice-president Stany D’Souza and secretary Denis Pinto, ladies association president Shalini Crasta were on the dais. Mementos were presented to the senior citizens.

Association secretary Eliza compered the programme. Meals were served to all toward the end.
