Bengaluru, Jan 30: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, is under compulsion to leave 'Kaveri', a bungalow which he felt was lucky for him, and which served as his home for the last over ten years. He will be shifting to another bungalow near Kumara Park where he had stayed earlier about ten years back when he was the leader of the opposition.

The shifting will happen on Friday January 31. Chief minister B S Yediyurappa, is desirous of occupying 'Kaveri', which is adjacent to his home office, 'Krishna'. The government had pressurized Siddaramaiah to vacate the bungalow as per protocol. Therefore, he performed puja at the new bungalow located near Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday.

The bungalow which will serve as new house of Siddaramaiah had been occupied by him long back when serving as opposition leader. Later, this house was occupied by Shobha Karandlaje, Dr H C Mahadevappa, and H D Revanna. This house was earlier allotted to assembly speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, but at the request of Siddaramaiah, it has been allotted to him. As per the guidance of priests, Siddaramaiah offered puja at the new house.

Siddaramaiah, who had occupied 'Kaveri' after becoming chief minister, had continued to stay there after getting it allotted in the name of minister K J George, during the rule of coalition government.

When media persons went there to capture puja being offered at the new bungalow, Siddaramaiah got angry and asked his staff to send photographers and video graphers away. He participated in puja rituals after the media persons were sent away.
