Dubai: Emirates Putturians Mark Ninth Anniversary with Fun, Frolic

Dubai, Oct 10: Emirates Putturians celebrated ninth year of their existence at the Rain Lounge of Ramee Royal Hotel Karama, here on Friday Oct 9.

More than 215 Putturians scattered all over United Arab Emirates along with their families attended the programme. The event was full of fun and frolic.



Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief of Daijiworld.com with his team was present at the event. Dayan D’Souza expressed his views and concerns about other media towards the community.

Games such as dancing doll for children and applying lipstick to the partners lip by holding the same in the mouth enthralled the crowd. Film dance by Praveen, Pramod, Jithesh, Majella, Ancil and Aaron mesmerised the crowd. Konkani old songs by Sweet Melody Band along with the Baila dance kept the crowd on their toes on the dance floor. Novelty masks were a hit and the prizes varied from microwave oven to visiting visa.

    I Still Remenber the days of our initial annual get together at Al maskan hall most of us used to bring home cooked food and eat in a homely atmosthere, I never thought at that time that we would last so long, Today when I congratulate our President Mr. Alex for the seccess of this event, I miss Mr. Elias Mascarenhas founder president of Emirates Putturians who laid the the foundation stone which has grown to this extent.

    Also I Congratulate Mr. Antony Mascarenhas our former President for his vision and his belief in your power, The Induction of Ajith and the talent powerhouse Deena during Mr. Antony's tenure has balanced the youth power with experiance, Only team effort can bring a good result, I Thank the family menbers of Emirates Putturians for supporting us till now. I thnks to all members of Emirates Putturians for presenting such a good event and expecting many more in near future, And I also thanks to our well weshers for supporting us for our annual event.

    Congratulations to all putturians in general and lead organisors in particular. It was thrilling to see the photos and read comments from well wishers. Keep it up Ajit and Deena. All the best to you. Extend the bridge to Bangalore if possible so that I can drive from Bangalore to Dubai.

    Very Well organised mangalorean function in a long time, setting new precedents, hope the rest of them take the cue.. loved the slideshow, lovely music, wonderful gifts... good food. The slogan was very apt " Building Bridges Beyond Boundaries"... Way to go Putturians...looking forward to the next one...!!!!!!

    Congrats all members of Emirates Putturians!!!! It was one of the best programme. The crowd was outstanding. The success of any programme depends on the crowd and this function proved it well. Dance floor was filled with people till the end and it was like they wanted more!!!!! President Alex was too good. Uttam was at his best and so was "Sweet Melodies". Once again I congaratulate all Putturians and wish them Good Luck in all future events.
