Udupi: Swami Laxmivarateerta Undertakes Padayatra to Raise Relief Funds for Flood Victims

Udupi, Oct 6: Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shiroor Mutt, here, undertook a Padayatra in the city, on Monday October 5 morning, for raising funds to provide relief materials to the flood victims, who have lost their houses, belongings etc., in the recent floods all over Uttara Karnataka.



Social worker Vasudev Bhat, district Nagarika Samiti chief secretary Nityanand Volakad, Sri Rama Sene district convener Rajesh Yermal, Madhukar Mudrady, Vijay Rao, Santosh Kumar Udyavar and others were present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Swami Laxmivarateerta said that the people can also hand over their contributions towards the relief funds, to the authorities at Shiroor Mutt.

    A very good move by this swamiji. Wonderful act and much more than its humanitarian. This fund will help the people irrespective of their caste/creed. God didnt differentiated between the castes and people and he made it as a blanket application. Others religious leaders from across karnatka must follow this swamiji. We love these types of heart blending and heeling touch by great religious leaders. This swami is truly performing his religious duty and true to his inner consciousness. I have asked my son to approach this swami and donate Rs. 10,000/- to his fund. I call upon the people of Udupi to generously donate funds to this cause thru this swami as he is very clean and pure in his soul and pious in his thinking. Dear swamiji, we love you and we are with you and support you in this noble cause. Dear Pejawar swami and bantwal swami please take your religious lessons from HH Shiroor swamiji. Long live shiroor swami. I bow my head in respect to this great human being. Vande Mataram and Jai Hind.
