Bangalore, Oct 5: Uday Dharmastala, Tulu Sahitya Academy member and Kannada activist in a press statement urged that forthcoming Vishwa Tulu Sammelan at Ujire in Beltangady taluk not to conclude with mere slogans.
Tulu Sammelan should strive to address various issues of Tulu with clear agenda and not cause injustice to future generation of Tulu natives, who should be educated about the splendor of Tulunadu. The Sammelan should not become an annual programme instead should focus on most essential issues such as to convene Tulu studies in schools, colleges and governmental bodies, chalk out plans for Tulu to sustain further growth and to take up various issues such as inclusion of Tulu in eighth schedule of Constitution, he stated.
Uday Dharmasthala also stressed that any decision taken at the Vishwa Tulu Sammelan should be democratic, by taking into account the interest of majority of Tulu natives and not imposed upon and should promote the unity.
