Mumbai, Jan 12: State education minister Varsha Gaikwad on Sunday claimed that the government was considering to set-up 'think tanks' to discuss strategies for improving quality of school education.
In a PTI report, Gaikwad stated that the think-tank will include professionals from various sectors, elected representatives, education experts, teachers, parents, retired bureaucrats who have been involved in formulating education policies, NGOs and media covering the education beat.
"I plan to start an interaction with them from next week. Through personal interaction, I will get to know their experiences. This will help us in coming out with something constructive to upgrade the quality of education in schools across the state," the education minister asserted.
In the newly-formed Shiv Sena-NCP-Cong alliance, Gaikwad who is from Congress was inducted in the Uddhav-led cabinet as the minister of the school education department, earlier in the month.
