Saligao, Jan 4: Michael Lobo, ports minister and MLA of Calangute has expressed his unhappiness over his government’s failure to improve power supply in the coastal belt and claimed that there were between 40 to 50 power cuts everyday in his constituency.

In his interaction with reporters he said that Mapusa and Siolim in the neighborhood are also facings problems relating to power supply.

“Using generators during power failures for long durations is expensive and it increases pollution. The Saligao substation must be completed to help tourism,” he said.
