Mumbai, Jan 1: A three-day long citizenship training camp was held for Kannada medium students at Chembur Karnataka school from December 26 to 28.
The teachers conducted a quiz and taught the students how to prepare useful items from unused items. Retired teacher, Prathibha Vaidya got the students to perform dances, write poetry and other activities on the first day.
Former office bearer of the sangha, Vishwanath Shenava on the second day explained the importance of yoga, its benefits and said that yoga is the best medicine for life.
Dance, drama and singing competitions were held for the students.
Prayers during the camp showed that God is one, but has different names. Vani Prasad of Mumbai News9 channel was present. Teacher Vijetha Suvarna compered the programme. Teacher Shamala Uchil read out the list of prize winners. Teacher Akshata Rao rendered the vote of thanks.
