Panaji, Dec 26: To celebrate Christmas spirit, the traffic cops in Goa donned a Santa Claus outfit and offered treats to traffic violators in Panaji.

"Since it is Christmas and the new year is around the corner, it is the appeal of the Goa Police traffic cell to locals and tourists to be extra careful on the road. We do not want casualties in the year-end," said deputy superintendent for traffic, North Goa, Dharmesh Angle.

The traffic cops gave away chocolates when they caught motorists violating rules.

"Traffic personnel decided to utilise the festive cheer to raise awareness about the importance of following traffic rules. While it is the season to celebrate, road-users should remain safe and responsible while commuting," he said.
