Mangalore: Couple's Day Programme at Gurpur

Mangalore, Sep 14: 'Couple's Day' programme was organized at Our Lady of Pompei Church Gurpur Kaikamba near here on Monday September 14.



This half-day programme was organized by the Parish Pastoral Parishad. Fr Santhosh Rodrigues, director of Family Service Centre in the city, along with Parish Priest, Fr Paul Rego, celebrated the Eucharist. In His sermon, Fr Santhosh highlighted the sacramental nature of the relationship between the husband and wife.

During the mass, the couples exchanged their vows once again. Anil and Irene Rebello took part as resource persons for this half-day session. They spoke of the amicable relationship between the couples.

Roman Lobo conducted ice breaking and a few games. Johnson Lobo, vice-president of Parish Pastoral Parishad, welcomed the couples. Wilfred Pinto proposed vote of thanks. Vijaya D'Costa compered the programme. A total of 85 couples took part in the programme.
