Mangalore: Varsity Inter-Collegiate Chess Tournament at SAC from Sep 14 to 16

Mangalore, Sep 13: St Aloysius College (SAC) will host Mangalore University Inter-collegiate Chess Tournament – 2009 at Arupe Block (basement) near the Centenary Ground on the College premises here from Monday September 14 to Wednesday September 16,  

SAC principal Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ will preside over the inaugural programme at 9.00 am on Monday September 14. Mangalore University (MU) director of physical education Dr H Nagalingappa will be the chief guest. City-based Dericks Chess School administrators Derick Pinto and Prasanna Rao will be the guest of honour. 

The tournament will be conducted as per MU guidelines. The reporting time is 8.45 am and registration closes at 9.30 am on Monday September 14. The matches commence at 10.00 am sharp, stated MU inter-collegiate chess tournament, SAC convenor Donnet D’Souza in a press release.
