Mumbai, Dec 18: St Paul’s Catholic Association that has been serving at Fort Lion Gate here for the last seven and a half decades celebrated its 77th Founder’s Day and anniversary on Sunday December 15.
Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra advisory committee member, Gregory D’Almeida, chief guest, lit the traditional lamp, set the programme in motion and gave an introductory address.
Association president, Stany Fernandes presided over the programme. Retired income tax officer, Valerian D’Sa, Francis Mathias, Ronald D’Souza Dubai, Mark Menezes and former president, Alwyn Cutinho were present on the dais as guests of honour. Planet Tours and Travels proprietor, Steven D’Mello released the souvenir and distributed prizes to competition winners.
A thanksgiving mass was offered at Woodhouse Holy Name Cathedral, Colaba. Fr Avin Fernandes led the mass and gave the homily. Ivan Fernandes and group sang hymns. Alwyn D’Mello and Vivian Machado read the Bible.
Vivian Machado compered the programme. Richard D’Souza rendered the vote of thanks. Ivan Fernandes disguised as Santa Claus entertained everyone.
