Udupi, Dec 9: A complaint about a person gate-crashing into Kalpana Lodge here, breaking things, selling old building materials found therein and cutting down and transporting of wild trees stands lodged in the town police station here. The complainant has estimated loss in this connection to be about one lac rupees.

It is said that Vivekananda, financier of Maharashtra Apex Bank, had handed over Kalpana Lodge here to K Ramachandra Nayak for running the same. Nayak could not properly run the lodge and hence had kept payment of hire charges pending since some months. Therefore, his service contract had been terminated with effect from September 30 this year.

Thereafter, Vivekananda had entered into an agreement with Satish Shetty and Umesh Shetty to tun the lodge. Ramachandra Nayak, who turned angry at this development, reportedly forcefully entered the lodge on December 7, hurled abuses at Satish Shetty, posed him threat to life, and damaged assets, the complainant stated.
