Mangaluru: Anti-rowdy squad arrests two youths for smoking ganja

Mangaluru, Dec 9: Acting upon a definite information that two youths are smoking ganja at Chanal under Baikampady village limits, which falls under the limits of Panambur police station, the anti-rowdy squad led by Srinivas Gowda R, ACP of Mangaluru city north sub division arrested two youths and handed them over to Panambur police station for further action. A case under NDPS act is slapped upon the arrested youths.

The arrested accused are identified as Mohammed Razik alias Rajik (32), son of Ummarabba, a resident of J M Road, Mukka, Suratkal in the taluk of Mangaluru and Nikhil (19), son of Jayarama, a resident of MRPL Colony, near Sabha Bhavan, Chelaru, Suratkal.

This operation was conducted under the direction of Dr P S Harsha, city police commissioner of Mangaluru. Arunamshu Giri, DCP law and order, Mangaluru city, Laxmi Ganesh, DCP crime and traffic guided the operation. The operation was led by Srinivas Gowda R, ACP of Mangaluru city north sub division. He was ably assisted by Azmat Ali, police inspector, Panambur police station and ASI Kumareshan and personnel Mohammed ASI, Kushala Maniyani, Satish M, Isaac, Sharan Kali and others.
