Mangaluru, Dec 1: A vital clue has been found in the murder of Sudarshan (20), who was brutally murdered and the body thrown in front of railways tracks at Kapikad, Ullalbail. It is said that the video that was captured on the train by the deceased is the reason for his killing.
Sudarshan had video recorded the scenes of a young girl, who was behaving in a very friendly manner with a young boy, thinking that the boy belongs to other community. He had also uploaded the video on Facebook. The young girl, who was in the video, had filed a complaint in this regard in the Ullal police station. The young girl is friend of accused Rakshith and there is a strong possibility that this murder might have happened because of this incident. The police are investigating the murder from this angle also.
It is also said that deceased Sudarshan was an active worker of a Hindu organization. It is said that Rakshith traced the mobile number of Sudarshan and called him on the pretext of resolving the viral video issue and killed him. Sudarshan was at Kumble of Kasargod district till 7.30 pm on the night of murder, but did not receive the call at 10 pm when his family members phoned him.
Ullal police and ACP special police force are on the manhunt to nab rowdy sheeter Rakshith D K and his accomplices who are involved in this murder. It is said that Rakshith and three of his accomplices had stabbed Sudarshan in the rented room near Madyar and then threw his body in the bushed near the railway tracks of Ullalbail area.
Accused D K Rakshith is a resident of Manjeshwar and presently resides at Bengaluru. He is accused in Kumpala Mukesh attempt to murder case that occurred in 2014 and Lancy attempt to murder case that occurred at Chembugudde in 2016. The inquiries of both cases are being conducted by the court. After getting released on bail, Rakshith was managing a bar at Thokkottu. However, he suffered losses in that bar and was in Bengaluru since some months. Rakshith is a noted habitual offender as per Ullal police station records.
According to the primary investigation of the police, it is known that Rakshith had come from Bengaluru along with his accomplices and murdered Sudarshan. Rakshith's mobile has gone on switched-off mode at Manipal location later.
Deceased Sudarshan, who was working as a cleaner in trucks and buses in Kumble area of Kasargod district was working as a driver in Bengaluru since six months. He had come to his native place in order to partake in the 'Maladharane' ritual of Lord Ayyappa pilgrimage that was slated to take place on Sunday, December 1.
